Born to a family of redheads, Jeffery Austin was raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. Jeffery fell in love with music from a young age. With a house constantly playing the soulful music of Motown, James Taylor and the like, its no wonder Jeffery's signature sound is a haunting tone that emotes every lyric.
Growing up Jeffery was drawn to performing - whether it was on the fireplace at family gatherings, or in a community theatre program, Jeffery thrived on stage. Throughout middle school and high school, his love for music grew through choir, musicals and talent shows. That being said, when it came time to pursue music in college, Jeffery chose a more traditional route, fearing the rejection of the music industry.
After more than six years away from music, Jeffery was thrown back into music on a national stage, working with such talent as Gwen Stefani, Selena Gomez, Tori Kelly, Rihanna and more. His passion for music revived, Jeffery moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter.
Jeffery Austin has toured the country and written with some of the most talented writers in the music industry. His original music has millions of streams across top music platforms, and has been featured on top media outlets such as Billboard.com, NYLON.com, Yahoo! Music, OUT.com and more.
